March 2004 Value Reds Tasting - All wines priced at $12 and under
These results are from a larger wine tasting that took place in March with fourteen people in total attending. What is listed in the chart are the results of the six Wine Wise Guys who participated. As you can see, there were a large number of wines, so there was a lot of swishing and spitting and dumping in order to make it through the entire list.
Each bottle of wine was placed in a brown paper bag. The foil was removed and the top of the bag was taped shut. The bottles were then assigned numbers. Participants tasted each wine and recorded their findings on their score sheet. The name and price of the wine was revealed only after the tasting was complete and the score sheets tallied.
What is included in this chart are the top six choices for each of the Wine Wise Guys. All of these wines should be available in your local wine stores.
